This month is Inktober, and it's time to make some ink drawings! (One per day, all month this month). Here's the first one.
Glad to be back!
Glad to be back!
This is really sweat.
Beautiful art dude !!
Haha, so sweet! ^___^
Yay go Inktoberrr~
Glad to have you back
Man, I'm lookin' forward to a month full of these. Go go go!
You should do a first and last drawing comparison to show your improvement. My feedback would be to mind the line weight. When done well, it'll look almost 3D.
oh wow! I've actually never heard of this event before. I should probably take part in it as well!
Hay Anthony, could you show us how you inked this and what tools/brushes etc you used?
You betcha! The paper is standard bristol and the brush pen is Pilot's Pocket Brush.
I found out about Inktober and decided to do it myself cuz I saw you post this on facebook, thanks for sharing dude! Really excited to see all the drawings you make this month
Yeah! How's your month going?!
I love their cute faces! And I so remember the vast frustration I had trying to do these models....
Why do these two seem so familiar? >_>
Niiiiiiiice... Easy to read from a distance but enough details to keep the viewer engaged. Awesome job!!
Mm, that's a good idea....I suck at ink and pen drawings, yet one of my classes is always demanding that ink be the only medium I ever use, haha. This would be good practice...
Are you doing it too?
Welcome back! Hehe, this one's cute. I love the large, solid masses you've made the hair.
Ah sweet!! It's so great to see this girl again! Who's she with? Her brother?
Her best friend.
I really love your design of her. It's wonderfully simple, clear & distinctive. With the little frilly dress, neat little shortish black hair, hairpiece & of course, the good old cartoon staple of thin body & an oversized head! Dee Dee herself would be proud It's just such a brilliantly straightforward design & one that people can immediately recognise. That's the hallmark of great character design to me.
Plus, she always to me a lovely spunky, mischievous feel about her, like she's the kind of girl who would get her & her friend into a wacky adventure, regardless of the consequences. Easily one of your best original characters.
Such a detailed review!! Thanks!
Thanks! I did not want to evoke the comparison monkey(tvskyle.deviantart.com/art/Com…, so I thought it would be better instead to give a much more detailed, in depth explanation of why I liked it, rather than just saying I like it.
I think I've asked this question before, but that Girl isn't based off of anybody, is she?
Not anyone in particular. I have the WORST time settling on character designs. I've changed her so many times. She's an amalgam of a lot of faces and hairstyles that I referenced over the design process.
